Well, the tournament week is off to a wet and cold start. After the a great week of weather during Advance Week of the Waste Management Phoenix Open our luck has seem to run out. We had rain on and off Saturday and Saturday night we had rain all night for a total of 1.45 inches and then we received an additional .25 inch again on Monday. The golf course is wet which is very disappointing after the Team had the course in such good and firm condition. Maybe the weather will turn around and the course will firm up for competition. Nontheless, you have to feel bad for the Monday Pro-Am competitors for having cold and wet conditions. Tuesday is a Practice Round, lets just hope the sun shines and the wind blows to help dry the course. Rest of the week, at this point, is looking better like better weather. Though, there is still a small chance for rain again on Saturday, lets hope the weatherman will be kind...

The Real Stars of the Operation
The real stars of any good operation are the ones out front making sure that the course is at its very best each day. TPC Scottsdale is blessed to have a great deal of seasoned employees, many which have been a part of our team for more than 10 Phoenix Open events. These men are the heart and soul of our operation and are on the job each day well before golfers arrive to the course.

Welcome to TPC Scottsdale Agronomy
Welcome to the TPC Scottsdale Agronomy Page. This page will keep you up to date about the conditions, projects and challenges going on with both TPC Scottsdale golf courses, the recently redesigned Champions Course and the famous Stadium Course, home to the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
This is the time of year that we are gearing up for the worlds largest PGA TOUR event, the Waste Management Phoenix Open. It is hard to believe it is that time of year again. The stands are nearly all in place waiting for the best players in the world.
This is the time of year that we are gearing up for the worlds largest PGA TOUR event, the Waste Management Phoenix Open. It is hard to believe it is that time of year again. The stands are nearly all in place waiting for the best players in the world.
Early weather forecast look to be great for the event with temperatures in the mid 70's. Lets hope we don't have any frost delays this year.
The Stadium Course is shaping up to be in very good condition for the tournament. The rains over the last few weeks has the course green and lush. The warmer conditions and good sunny days should dry the course and firm up the conditions for the tournament.
Please check back often for updates on the tournament preparations.
